Sail had a fantastic Number Day on Friday. We followed instructions to make shortbread, carefully measuring out the ingredients by reading the scales and discussing the units of measure. We also discussed direct proportion and how we would multiply each ingredient to make more biscuits. Students behaved sensibly in the cafe and enjoyed eating their biscuits during assembly whilst learning about Luke Littler - a great morning!

Another successful visit to the SEND Preparing for Adulthood event!
Students were able to discuss their options post year 11 with multiple stall holders. Through their participation they were able to showcase their communication skills and boost their confidence, all whilst representing the school fantastically! Well done to all 🙂
We spoke with:

Mires Beck nursery who offered placements
Log on Move on who can support with course options, apprenticeships etc.

During an ELSA session with our Life Coaches, Jack bravely shared his worries about horse-riding. Together, they brainstormed a list of strategies to help him achieve his goal of riding around the arena. 🐴✨
Here’s what we came up with:
Riding Ruby, a horse he feels comfortable with
Being led by Tash, our wonderful main instructor
Taking short breaks to manage his nerves.
With determination and resilience, Jack rode the entire circuit multiple times! We are incredibly proud of his progress and the courage he showed today. Well done, Jack! 🎉🥳

We all enjoyed listening to her inside knowledge of the animals and the workings of The Deep. The students are proudly displaying their artwork representing how plastic pollution is damaging our blue spaces! @TheDeepHull @ChildDynamix @CDYSP

We discovered that for our patterns to be truly beautiful, they must be symmetrical all the way around! 🌀💖
