At Venn Boulevard Centre, we know that a calm mind is key to effective learning. That’s why therapeutic interventions like aromatherapy are an important part of our personalised approach.

From helping pupils regulate their emotions to improving focus and impulse control, these small, sensory-based sessions make a big impact on executive functioning skills. Whether it’s lavender to soothe anxiety or citrus scents to energise, we’re always exploring ways to support wellbeing and boost learning in meaningful ways.

🐀🎸 Friday Afternoon Rat Hunting! 🎸🐀
As part of our Friday Enrichment programme, students chose an afternoon exploring the legacy of Mick Ronson and his influence on Hull’s music scene. We headed into the city centre to hunt down the iconic rat statues, each picking a favourite and reflecting on why.

This fun and engaging activity also supported key Executive Functioning skills like planning, decision-making, and flexible thinking. 🧠💡

Excellent behaviour from all students—a pleasure to take out!
